The victim’s statements list is a great tool to stop the self defeating mantras you tell yourself and others on a habitual basis. These statements put your mind in a looser state, creating nothing more than contempt to whatever challenge life is offering you.
If you recognize yourself within the list, rest assure that this is a wake up call to change the way you talk, and right away.
The way to use this list is simple: First, read through the list and mark the sentences you identify with or know that you said in the last couple of weeks.
Then, for every sentence invent an assertive self supporting alternative. For example, instead of saying “It is not my fault”, you might say “Let’s see how I can help to fix it”. Attitude is everything, and it starts with the way you express yourself.
